The Children Of Pestel Orphanage
The Children of Pestel Orphanage is located in Pestel, Haiti about 500 miles from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was founded in 2007 by Guy JeanCharles. Before the earthquake in January 12, 2010, The orphanage had 15 kids, today we house 35 kids. We are trying to build a bigger place so we can take more kids. Because of the earthquake, there are even more homeless children than ever before. We have a total of 5 stafff. 2 Maids, House worker, Nurse and a Doctor that conduct monthly visits. We have a psychologist that visits the children and examine them for any post stress disorder as a result of the earthquake. Since we are a small orphanage, we cannot afford to buy a house instead we lease it. Our lease are due monthly. Due to limited resources, we are struggling to pay our lease. Any small donation you make will go a long way. By supporting us we will be able to take more kids in. We are very passionate about taking care of these children and making life easier for them. These children are the future of Haiti.
